Considering therapy is a big step. In searching for a therapist, you have already begun a process of personal change, and allowed for hope. Weaving your personal story into your life in a broader context presents an opportunity for developing awareness, personal growth and excitement.
Stress in relationships; difficulties in the workplace; feeling stuck; seeking an exit from dark places; desire for change from repeating old, self-defeating behavior; experiencing anxiety, shame or self-doubt; wanting self-acceptance of who you are: these are among the situations which may bring you to therapy. I work experientially to allow you to make positive choices.
Therapy requires hard work; however, the process is fulfilling, creative and lively, and even fun. You feel more control, more alive, and respond more resiliently to life’s challenges. You can achieve new perspectives.
In some situations, sessions can be supplemented through telephone and email work to accommodate schedules, locations, and lifestyles of the clients. I follow a strict code of ethics and professional standards, as set out by my professional association. Sessions are strictly confidential.
You will get a prompt response to any inquiry. Scheduling is flexible and there are no long wait times. For appointments, I ask for 24 hours notice of cancellation, and in return will provide the same.
