I have now retired from private client work. However, I still describe my philosophy and the basis for my past practice in the outline below.

You may be anxious about getting help. By searching for a therapist, you have already allowed for hope and begun a process of personal change.

I specialize in working with people who have an idea of what they want, but are puzzled or frustrated about how to get there. People seek change for many reasons: feeling stressed in the workplace or in personal relationships; being stuck; repeating old, self-defeating behaviour; experiencing anxiety, depression, shame or self-doubt. Perhaps they just want to answer the question, “Who am I, really?”

My clients come to me because they feel blocked in their growth. They want more control, more energy, more satisfaction and more creativity in their lives. Especially, they want to be heard.

I work with my clients so that they develop a clearer sense of self, better contact with others and more hope. Then they find new perspectives, and new possibilities for change and growth. They learn how to respond more resiliently to life’s challenges.
